From how Joe Walsh almost ended up in the band to what happened after Keith Moon collapsed during a 1973 show
The story of the Who goes all the way back to 1959 when a teenage Roger Daltrey formed the Detours in Shepherd’s Bush, England, recruiting his buddy John Entwistle to play bass. Pete Townshend joined in 1961 and drummer Keith Moon followed three years later, shortly before they dubbed themselves the Who and began releasing music that would change the face of rock & roll forever. It’s more than 50 years later and quite a bit has changed along the ways. Check out the above video to learn how Joe Walsh almost ended up in the band and what happened after Keith Moon collapsed behind his kit during a show in 1973.
