Firefighters rushed to the hapless man’s home in Fuqing City, east China’s Fujian province, after receiving a call describing his predicament.
Luckily, the crew was able to carefully separate the stainless steel frames from the drum in less than an hour, at around 2.40pm on Sunday.
The man had reportedly tried to fix the machine after he was unable to switch it on to wash his clothes.
He had poked his head into the machine to see if anything had got stuck inside the drum and got stuck, Fuzhou City’s Fire Department confirmed.
